Over the past week we have been working to replicate the work of Tromp L'oeil. L'oeil takes objects from everyday life and draws them flawlessly as he sees them. In my artwork I took supplies that I found from around the art room and tried to replicate them. I created original art in this process, because no one will have the same coloring or shading as me. I also took a risk, I have never drawn something by looking at a reference.

Over the past week we have been learning about the artist Wayne Thiebaud, and his style. Wayne Thiebaud was really into creating desserts such as cakes, cupcakes, slices of cakes, and gum ball machines. In order to try and capture the correct shading and the unique colors that Thiebaud was able to capture in his work, we used oil pastels. During this procedure I developed skill by trying to draw something I never had before. I also created original art, with unique colors and shading.
