Over the last two weeks we have been working on a boundary project. The assignment was to create a piece of art that incorporated boundaries and it could be interpreted any way the artist wanted, I interpreted it more literally and decided to paint the interior of a beach house looking out to the beach through a row of windows. (I am not done yet!!) I took a lot of risks in this painting, one of the biggest being the attempt I made to make the seat cushions, as of right now I am really unhappy with how that turned out, so I have to go back in and fix that, as I plan to keep adding to this piece and developing it more. I also collaborated a lot with my peers during this project, asking about colors and for their advice a lot. I really liked being assigned something so broad and getting to take our own interpretation of it! It is really fun to see everyone's different pieces! Overall I really liked this assignment, I just don't like my painting that much right now, I need to go back and develop it more.
