During the span of a week, we took a day to work on a single prompt, and then at the end of the week for a final project we combined two aspects of our designs for a complete work of art. The five prompts that we were given were nuts and bolts, things with an on/off switch, industrial, things that turn, and nature. In response to these prompts I drew a heart filled with nuts and bolts, a light switch, a bunch of pipes, a bicycle, and a wave with a mountain behind it. For the final project of this unit I drew a windmill surrounded by flowers. This combined the themes of things that turn with nature, During this unit I took risks by drawing things that I typically never would have. For example I never would've thought to draw nuts and bolts. I also created original art, no one would have the same exact artwork as me, mine is unique. Overall I really like the surprise factor this unit had- never knowing what we were going to be drawing that day.
